Introduction

At Trifecta Productions, we believe in the power of storytelling to inspire change and spark important conversations. Our Creator’s Fund for Storytellers in Vancouver is designed to support emerging and established creators who are passionate about telling compelling narratives that challenge perspectives and drive action.

Whether you’re working on a narrative film or a documentary, we’re here to help bring your story to life. We offer up to $2,000 in funding to cover pre-production, gear, and crew support if needed, giving you the resources to create impactful media that can inspire others.

Eligibility Criteria

We’re looking for storytellers based in Vancouver, with projects that:

• Inspire thought or action: Your story must have the power to engage and inspire audiences to think or act differently.

• Narrative or Documentary: We support both narrative films and documentary projects that aim to create meaningful, thought-provoking content.

• Project Stage: We welcome applicants who are in conception, pre-production, or early production stages of their projects.

Requirements:

• Be based in Vancouver, BC.

• Submit a project proposal outlining the concept, objectives, and impact of your story.

• Provide a portfolio or links to past work (if applicable).

Funding Details

The Creator’s Fund provides up to $2,000 in support, which can be used for:

• Pre-production: Planning, scriptwriting, location scouting, etc.

• Gear: Camera, lighting, sound equipment, etc.

• Crew Support: If you need help with technical crew, we can provide support (subject to availability).

• Post Production: Editing, animations, colour, and sound.

Application Process

To apply for the Creator’s Fund, follow these steps:

1. Schedule a Video Call: Before you apply, please schedule a video call introduction with us. This gives us a chance to learn more about your project and answer any questions you may have.

2. Submit Your Application: After the video call, submit your full application through an email, which should include:

   • A project proposal (include your story idea, objectives, and intended impact).

   • A portfolio or sample of past work (if applicable).

   • A budget outline detailing how you will use the funding.

3. Review & Selection: Our team will review all applications and select those that align with our mission of inspiring thought and action through storytelling.
